Champaign, IL – The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) Board of Trustees on Friday approved the issuance of a formal “request for proposals” (RFP) seeking qualified firms interested in providing passive investment management services. One or more firms will be considered with the RFP being issued on or before March 1, 2017.
In other business before the SURS Board of Trustees:
- Chicago Equity Partners was terminated as a core fixed income manager. Assets of approximately $330 million will be reallocated over time to two existing fixed income managers: Garcia Hamilton & Associates – $150 million and State Street Global Advisors – $180 million.
- New representatives were named to fulfill portfolio activities related to SURS investment in Real Estate Global Partnership Fund II.
