The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) is soliciting competitive bids from qualified vendors to provide assistance in identifying, reporting, preparing, and filing claims for settlements in non-traditional investment-related matters and in investment-related litigation matters other than traditional securities litigation (e.g., bankruptcy, antitrust, SEC Fair Funds and Disgorgement Plans, etc., and other claims not handled by SURS custodial bank). The selected vendor(s) will ensure that SURS files timely claims to protect its right to recover its pro-rata share of proceeds in these matters.
This is a new RFP, with the contract(s) estimated to start July 2025 for an initial three-year term, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods. SURS can benefit from external support that will efficiently track, monitor, and process claims related to settlements in non-traditional investment-related matters and in investment-related litigation matters other than traditional securities litigation. The objective is to maximize recoveries by ensuring that no applicable settlement opportunities are missed.
