The meeting of the of the Claims Panel Committee of the Board of Trustees of the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) convened on Thursday, May 6, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.

Upon motion by Ms. Suzanne Mayer and a second by Hearing Officer, Dan Gaumer, a roll call vote was taken for the Claims Panel to go into closed session pursuant to §2(c)(4) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act to deliberate over the evidence and testimony received in open session. A verbatim recording was made of the closed session.

Claims Panel Deliberations

The following persons were present during closed session for the deliberations of the Ms. Meera Komarraju claim: Mr. Dan Gaumer, Hearing Officer; Ms. Suzanne Mayer, Executive Director; and Ms. Annette Ackerman, Executive Assistant and Mr. Patrick Sullivan, attorney with law firm Featherstun, Gaumer, Stocks, Flynn & Eck LLP.

The members of the Claims Panel reviewed and deliberated upon the evidence and testimony received in open session in the pending cases of Ms. Meera Komarraju.

Upon completion of the deliberations, the open meeting resumed at approximately 9:55 a.m.
