SURS will resume sending medical recheck requests to disability benefit (DB) and disability retirement annuity (DRA) recipients beginning this week. The requests had been temporarily discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic making it difficult to schedule required reevaluation appointments.

Mailing schedule:

April reevaluation orders will be mailed the week of May 25, 2020.
May reevaluation orders will be mailed the week of June 1, 2020.
June reevaluation orders will be mailed the week of June 8, 2020.

Beginning July 1, we will resume the normal schedule of sending the orders the first of each month.

If members cannot schedule an appointment with their doctor within the time frame given in the letter please phone our Call Center to let us know when the appointment is scheduled so we will know when to expect recheck forms and medical records.
