Champaign, IL – The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) Board of Trustees on June 2 voted to retain Callan as the System’s real assets consultant for the next five years, subject to successful contract negotiations. Callan has served in that capacity since 2018.
Trustees also approved hiring election management firm YesElections to oversee the 2024 SURS trustee election process. The voting period will take place April 1- May 1, 2024. SURS members will elect three active-member trustees and one annuitant trustee. Applications, nominating petitions and detailed information will be available at surs.org this fall.
In other business, the board reelected Trustee Collin Van Meter to serve as vice chair and Trustee John Lyons to serve as treasurer of the board through 2024.
