Champaign, IL – Gov. Pritzker has appointed Scott Hendrie of Savoy to serve on the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) Board of Trustees.
Hendrie is vice president of finance and treasury at the Carle Foundation, serving on both their Retirement Plan and Health and Welfare Committees. He is a member of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine Joint Liaison Committee and a Board Observer for Ascension Ventures IV, L.P. Previously, he worked for First Busey Corporation, a financial holding company, for 15 years.
Hendrie received a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He earned his chartered financial analyst designation in 1999.
Hendrie’s term will expire in June 2021. His appointment must be confirmed by the Illinois Senate.
Other members of the SURS Board of Trustees include Chairperson John Atkinson, Vice Chairperson Collin Van Meter, Treasurer John Lyons, Aaron Ammons, Richard Figueroa, Jamie-Clare Flaherty, J. Fred Giertz, Steven Rock, Antonio Vasquez and Mitchell Vogel.
